No worship service this evening.

Our church is providing food for the hospitality room this Thursday for the softball district tournament held in Trumann. We’re doing sandwiches; chips/dip; desserts (hand held food in disposable containers, nothing that needs a fork, etc) If you will help, please use the signup sheet on our bulletin board. We need to have the food to the high school office by 2:00.

The food packing event for Feed My Starving Children is this Friday, 6:00-8:00 at the ASU Armory.

The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 2. In Trumann this event will be held at the First Baptist church on Hwy 69 from 12:00-1:00. Lunch will be available after the prayer service.

First Baptist in Trumann invites us to their Holy Week services beginning Monday-Friday. A flyer with more info is on our bulletin board.

Our youth group will be cleaning up/sprucing up around the outside of our church this Saturday from 2:00-4:00. You are welcome to help out too.

The Trumann community Easter sunrise service will be Easter Sunday morning, 6:30am, at the Full Gospel Tabernacle east of town on Hwy 69. Eddy Lapiro will be preaching.

Coming up on Wednesday nights: this Wednesday is spring break week, we will be waxing our gym and bathroom floors and none of our small groups will meet. Wednesday, March 27 our adult group will begin studying Biblical spiritual gifts. All adults of any age are welcome to join us.

We announced last week that our Trumann Ministerial Alliance has planned another Worship Night in Trumann, Sunday night, March 31, 6:00. The location has been changed to the middle school auditorium on Pine St because of scheduling. Dr Terry Tacker will be preaching, Ronnie Dye will lead the music.

We’re still upgrading to LED lighting in our facilities, we have some more of our old fluorescent fixtures to give away. They are on the floor at the end of our west hallway—free to anyone who wants them.

Thank you to our youth group, Aaron Riddle, Tony Byrd, and everyone else who helped with our pancake breakfast this morning.

Arkansas Association and presbytery meets this Saturday at Woods Chapel GB church in Brookland. Association meeting starts at 10:00, presbytery meets after lunch starting at around 1:00, we do have several men to ordain.

Chili cook off tonight, 5:00 in our gym. Enter your best chili—expensive prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. If you are entering your chili, have it in our gym kitchen by 4:00 so the judges can do their thing. Everyone else bring chili fixings, finger foods, drinks, etc.

Our youth group is hosting a pancake breakfast in honor of our senior citizens (whatever age you think that is?) next Sunday morning from 9:00-10:00 in our gym. Senior citizens are specially invited but everyone is welcome to join them, but we need to know how many are coming so please sign up on our bulletin board in our sanctuary foyer.

Church council meeting tonight, 4:00, to work on our 2019 church calendar.

Merge youth weekend begins this Friday night! Help we need from our church: 1) Snacks for 3 host homes. There is a table and a box in our entry to put snack contributions—homemade or packaged. Our drive thru door will be open next week if you want to bring snacks next week, deadline is Friday. 2) Our church is serving lunch to all the teenagers at Merge on Saturday in our gym. We need a few more volunteers to help, all the food is provided. Be in our gym kitchen by about 10:00 if you will help. See Aaron Riddle for more info.

Merge youth weekend will be January 25-27 (Fri-Sun) Merge is a large joint effort of churches in our community to disciple teenagers. Help we need from our church: We have 2 host homes and the group leaders to go with them. We need volunteers to provide snacks for each home and breakfast food Saturday morning for each home. Our church is responsible for lunch for everyone on Saturday. The food is supplied but we need the volunteers to cook and serve. If you will help with food in any way, see Aaron Riddle ASAP.

Church council meeting next Sunday, 4:00, to work on our church calendar for 2019. Our church council is representatives of the different ministries in our church.

We have our new 2019 church calendar on the wall in our secretary’s office. If you and/or your group have an event planned this year that involves our church facilities, please sign up on the calendar.

~Business meeting, 6:00 in our gym. Agenda: 1) Approve an annual IRS required pay package for our pastor. 2) Elect delegates to our local Arkansas Association and our national Ministry Summit.

We need: 1) Turkey and ham donations can be taken to Couch’s BBQ by this Wednesday.

2) Three more large pans of dressing (full pans please) sign up on our bulletin board. There are pans for you to pick up in our foyer and bags of dressing mix if you would like to use it

3) If you will help with the meal, be at the Sports Complex by 10:15 on Christmas day.

We are gradually replacing our fluorescent light fixtures with LED fixtures. There is a pile of fluorescent fixtures by the back door of our gym (west wall) to give away. Take as many as you want and tell others about it too. The back door of our gym will be unlocked this week, first come first served.

Our Harvest Day offering was $8818.00. This will go a long way in the upkeep and updating of our facilities.
