Thank you to everyone who helped with our youth spaghetti supper and auction last night.

 This Wednesday night our adult group will meet at Jr & Patsy Carter’s home, 1225 Hwy 69.

 Worship Night In Trumann is Sunday night, September 30, 6:00pm, at the Trumann high school auditorium. Anthony Patterson will be leading music, Gary Fulton was scheduled to speak but has to decline due to some serious health issues. John Booker will now be preaching.  All churches in our area are welcome for a night of worship together.

 Looking ahead for children’s ministry: Trunk or Treat will be Sunday afternoon/evening, October 28, more info in the weeks to come. Our Wednesday night grade school children will start early on filling Christmas care boxes for residents at Stepping Stones homeless shelter. We will have more info on how you can help. See Amy Fisher with any questions.

 Due to C.A. Jones’ health issues right now, we need a male volunteer to help Jr Carter with delivering food to our Trumann Food Pantry, 2 days every other month. See Jr if you will help.

Ladies Life Group will meet tonight after our evening service.

 

Youth group spaghetti supper and silent auction is this Saturday night. Supper is served from 5:00-7:00, silent auction following. This is our youth group’s main fund raising event of the year.

We need:

~Contributions of good things to auction off…housewares, good tools, crafts, baked goods…use your imagination. Please leave your contribution on the stage in our gym with your name on the item. (We already have a Kawasaki Vulcan 750 motorcycle donated)

~Desserts for the spaghetti supper will be appreciated

~You to show up and spend a lot of money

Also: a financial statement for August will be available.

Ladies Life Group will meet next Sunday night after our evening service.

Youth group’s annual spaghetti supper and silent auction will be Saturday, September 15. $10 tickets are available from any of our youth group or leaders. Supper is from 5:00-7:00, silent auction following. If you have good items to donate to the auction, please put those on the stage in our gym. There are flyers on our entry table for you to give to friends, see Aaron Riddle for more info.

Our ladies Life Group is hosting our widow/widower lunch right after this morning’s worship service. All the widows and widowers in our church are invited.

Our youth group has accumulated more chips than they can use, everyone is welcome to take as many chips as you want from our entry area.

Arkansas Association presbytery meeting this Friday night at the Southridge GB church in Jonesboro. Supper is at 6:00 (Ham with all the fixings) worship is at 7:00. Dillon Johnson will be preaching.

Youth Camp:   We leave from our church to camp at 8:00 Monday morning. We will be back around noon on Friday.              

 ~If you want to help other workers from our church in the camp kitchen on Tuesday, see Cliff Hopper.             

 ~Worship services at camp: Juniors – 6:00  Seniors – 7:15

None of our small groups will meet this Wednesday night. Everyone is welcome to attend worship services at camp all week.

Reminder to our Wednesday night adult group that this is the 3rd Wednesday night.      

Youth camp is July 23-27. We need:                                                       

1) One more dorm dad, one or two more dorm moms—see Daniel Miller or Theresa Jones                           

2) Kitchen workers for Tuesday, see Cliff Hopper for specifics.                                                                                        

3) Packaged snacks for campers during the day. Snacks that handle heat well is helpful (not a lot of chocolate) and large containers of Gatorade mix.  There is a box in our sanctuary foyer for the snacks.                        

4) Sponsors who will help with the $50 camp fee for some of our campers who can’t afford it—see Lynda Sadler

4 of our men volunteer to haul food from Wal Mart to our Trumann Food Pantry the first week of each month. Rick Atkins needs to step down from this job to help care for his mother. We need a man to take Rick’s spot and team up with C.A. Jones. It will be working Monday and Friday mornings, the first week of every other month. See C.A. if you will help.

We are in the process of using a new worship program, Media Shout, on a new computer. While everyone involved is learning this new program, it’s a good time to ask for new volunteers to help with the computer during our worship services. If you are interested, see Matt Fisher for details.

Tonight is our 5th Sunday potluck fellowship in our gym, 5:00

Our Wednesday night adult group will be feeding our children’s ministry this Wednesday. Also: a financial statement for April will be available.

National Day of Prayer is this Thursday. The Trumann community will gather for prayer at the First Baptist church at 12:00. There is an info sheet pinned to our bulletin board in our sanctuary foyer.

Trumann’s Baccalaureate service is next Sunday night, 6:00 at the high school. Since our Sunday evening worship starts at 5:00, we will have a shortened service-trying to end by 5:30ish-for anyone who wants to attend both. Seth Cooper will be preaching next Sunday night.
