Message: The gospel according to Luke Text: Luke 5:17-26 1 Timothy 1:15
Who is the worst person in this room?
Forgiveness should not create in us a self righteous attitude, but rather gratitude, for what Jesus has done for us. To be self righteous means you have forgotten what Jesus has done for you.
Oswald Chambers, "When once you realize all that it cost God to forgive you, you will be held as in a vice, constrained by the love of God."
C.S. Lewis, "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you."
Henry Blackaby, "Part of the Book of Genesis is the record of God accomplishing His purposes through Abraham. It is not the record of Abraham's walk with God. Can you see the differences of focus? The focus of the Bible is God."
Mozart, "Remember, merciful Jesus, that I am the cause of your journey."

~”I know who You are…” Demons are not confused at all as to who Jesus is. They want to confuse you as to who Jesus is. There are at least 2 things that are essential to know about Jesus, they are both in Romans 10:9
~Jesus speaks/commands. God does not expend effort as we would, He speaks…
~Colder is bolder. Hotter is bolder. Lukewarm is tepid...apathetic.
Message: The gospel according to Luke Text: Luke 4:18-24
In vs 18-19 Jesus is quoting Isaiah to tell everyone who He is and why He has come. This sounded good to people in Jesus’ day because of hated Roman rule. It sounds good in our culture because of the popularity of healing and prosperity...for example. The problem of focusing soley on the benefits of 18-19 in this temporal world, is that we all die. Heb 9:27
Who is the father of Jesus? There are only 2 choices to choose from. There is still a wide spread attempt to make Jesus less than He is...God! John 1:1, 3:16, 5:18, 8:24, 8:58, 10:30-33, 20:28
